This workshop is tailored to the individual. Each participant will explore the Mezzotint technique with Master Mezzotint printmaker, Graeme Peebles at their own level and be able to set their own agenda.
Learning from Graeme’s extensive experience with Mezzotint, participants will explore various ways of preparing a traditional Mezzotint ground and create various effects. Graeme will cover, scraping and burnishing of the plate through to colouring and print methods.
Participants will be provided with one copperplate but are welcome to work on as many plates as they wish. Pre-rocked plates can be ordered during the workshop and/or existing plates can be brought in for feedback/development. Graeme is flexible and welcomes participants to establish their own agenda and time schedule.
Recommended minimum 4 sessions approx $250 per session
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: Printmaking experience required
INCLUDED: One copperplate, 2 full sheets of paper, a scraper, studio use and printing materials (ink, 300gsm Somerset paper). Tea. Glass of wine/cheese and critique on completion
NOT INCLUDED: Pre rocked plates, A3 Drawing journal (available from QG&W), take-home kits, accommodation and food. Plenty of food choice in Queenscliff.

Invoices will be provided on arrival upon request. Payments will be refunded if the class is cancelled. If you are unable to attend, you must notify us at least two weeks prior to the workshop date. The cancellation fee is $29.
