Drypoint & Print Exchange – Joel Wolter
Jun Sat,10 2017 10:00 am–Jun Sun,11 2017 4:00 pm| $320
TEACHER: Joel Wolter
DATE: Sat Jun 10 – Sun 11
TIME: 10am – 5pm
LOCATION: QG&W art & print studios
Explore the drypoint technique with the highly experienced Joel Wolter. Working with plastic and/or copperplate, participants will discover an amazing range of mark making using a variety of tools and initially testing both surfaces. Choosing either plastic or copper, participants will begin drawing by the end of their first day and start finalising their plate by printing proofs and working their drawings further until satisfied.
During the second day participants will complete their artist’s proof and begin editioning a set of prints to exchange. Prints will need to remain at the studio to dry and can either be picked up at a later date or posted. The edition will depend on participant numbers (no more than 8).
Workshops are kept to small numbers to accommodate the pace and level of each participant. Arrive to the workshop with an agenda, or let us set one for you!
Participants should expect to have completed their edition, to have gathered a good understanding of the drypoint technique, printing, printmaking materials and be qualified to use the access studio independently.
