Peebles Print Prize exhibition
Aug Thu,3 2017 10:00 am–Sep Sun,10 2017 5:00 pm| Free
QG&W is located in Victoria on the Bellarine Peninsula’s coastal town of Queenscliff with a focus on printmaking and other works on paper. QG&W proudly shows the work of over 70 Australian artists/printmakers. As well as operating the gallery space, QG&W also offers art and printmaking workshops and printmaking studio access.
QG&W exhibiting artist, Graeme Peebles, is Australia’s leading mezzotint printmaker. Graeme studied and lectured at RMIT and is a multi-award-winner in his field with his work collected privately and by institutions around the world. Being a purist, Graeme’s print method is traditional and in keeping with a process taught over past centuries. Graeme has over 40 years of printmaking knowledge and experience and is highly regarded amongst his peers.
Together, we established this significant print prize that is representative of the highest level of printmaking in Australia, solely focused on the intaglio technique.
Preliminary judging by Gordon Craig (University of Queensland & Print Council Australia committee member), Peter Lancaster (Lancaster Press) and Graeme Peebles.
Finalist judge is Hertha Kluge-Pott.

Fundraising for our community – win a print by Anita Laurence, Adam Nudelman or Graeme Peebles!
With great thanks to Graeme Peebles and Adam Nudelman who have donated the below prints, and also to locals, Clydesville (luxury accommodation) who purchased Family Farm by Anita Laurence, QG&W takes the PPP opportunity to further raise funds for Cottage by the Sea and our local Queenscliff Primary School.
During the exhibition (Aug 5 – Sep 10) 1,000 raffle tickets will be available for purchase for $5 each from QG&W. The full proceeds from these tickets will be shared equally between our two selected causes and three ticket holders will win the three prints by Graeme, Adam and Anita.
