With a small group of attendees for our first workshop Jane Flowers gave extra focus to each participant, two of whom had not drawn since primary school years.

The light streaming in from the church window to the workshop mezzanine proved itself perfect for life drawing and both visitors to the gallery and workshop participants enjoyed the conversations that wafted through the open environment.

Kicking off a QG&W tradition, the day of life drawing ended with Jane, the participants, and Gillian all enjoying a much needed glass of wine, some cheese, and great conversation about the work produced and feedback about the day’s experiences.

Our following life drawing workshops will be held on the 14th, 21st and 28th (three Sunday afternoons), from 2 – 6pm. The first 8 registrants guarantee their places in the workshop. With weather permitting however the workshop will be held in the privacy of QG&W’s back garden which allows for a few more attendees. Register your interest if you would like to be contacted for the possible outdoor life drawing session.
