Joel Wolter is a visual artist and printmaker who resides on the Victorian surf coast. Born in Geelong in 1978, Joel attended the Victorian College of the Arts, majoring in printmaking, and has several years’ experience as a professional printmaker and as a printmaking teacher.
Joel was the winner of the Peebles Print Prize 2019
Joel’s artwork has been exhibited widely around Australia and his artworks have been selected and represented in many significant national art exhibitions including the Geelong Acquisitive Print Awards, the Rick Amor Print Prize, the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, and Print Traditions – Sources of Australian Printmaking at the Geelong Gallery.
Joel’s artworks appear in a number of public art collections including the Geelong Gallery, the State Library of Victoria, the Parliament of Australia, and the Victorian College of the Arts.
