WINNER: PPP People’s Choice Award

Thank you to Ross Ebbels of Tourism Greater Geelong & the Bellarine for announcing the People’s Choice and raffle ticket winners at the official closing of the PPP.

Congratulations to, Cleo Wilkinson, winner of the PPP People’s Choice Award with her work Pledge. Pledge received 27 of the total 310 votes that were physically cast by visitors to the exhibition. Cleo wins $750 cash donated by QG&W Directors, Theo and Soula Mantalvanos.

It was a pleasure to watch people deliberate over their ‘favorite’ finalist work and, not surprising, we heard many times that the choice was just too difficult, and asked if it was possible to, ‘vote more than once’.

Only one vote was permitted by each visitor. QG&W would like to thank each and every one of you who took the time to participate.

Cleo emailed this message of thanks:

‘I would like to extend my most sincere thanks to everyone for choosing my work. I want you to know that I’ll be using the award money for more papers, inks and materials. It is so wonderful that you are able to host this Print Prize. It is such a great opportunity for printmakers – I am hugely grateful for all your support!. Please extend my thanks to the donors who made the prizes possible; QG&W Directors, Theo and Soula Mantalvanos and Graeme Peebles for establishing this national intaglio print prize – he is such an inspiration!’
